Subang Jaya police open investigation into viral Facebook claim against officers

Subang Jaya police have opened an investigation into a viral Facebook claim allegedly defaming police officers, according to a statement by Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat. The investigation comes after a report was received from a police officer on duty at the scene of the incident at around 10:54pm yesterday.

The post, uploaded by the account owner named 'Izz Fairuzz,' claimed that a police patrol vehicle blocked traffic at a petrol station in Batu 14, Puchong, Selangor, while the personnel were allegedly waiting for food from a foreign trader without paying. Wan Azlan emphasized that the public should refrain from speculating about the allegations and maintain full cooperation with the police during the investigation.

Individuals with information related to the incident were asked to contact the Subang Jaya IPD district control centre at 03-7862 7100, with the assurance that the informant's identity would remain confidential.
