Song Yadong wants title shot after UFC Shanghai: 'I can finish everyone'

Song Yadong, the 24-9-1 MMA fighter with a UFC record of 13-4-1, believes he possesses the ability to defeat any bantamweight in the UFC. His confirmation of this came during a standout performance at UFC Fight Night 286 in Shanghai, where he secured a second-round knockout of Umar Nurmagomedov. This victory marked a significant milestone in Song's nearly nine-year career in promotion.

Speaking post-fight, Song expressed his elation, stating that this was the best moment of his life and that this fight felt like the easiest for him mentally, energized by his supporters. Despite initial grappling challenges, Song successfully defended his position and executed an uppercut, a technique his boxing coach, Rudy Hernandez, had assured him would result in a knockout.

This experience has bolstered Song's confidence, leading him to assert that he can defeat any opponent in the division, including the current champion, Petr Yan, and Merab Dvalishvili. Consequently, Song has expressed his desire for a title shot, believing he is ready to compete at the highest level.
