Silver for Scott and Stratton in world quad sculls final

Hannah Scott and Finnola Stratton claimed silver in the women's quadruple sculls at the World Championships in Amsterdam on Saturday, following Great Britain teammates Imogen Grant and Lola Anderson. The GB quartet placed second in a tight race, with only 1.6 seconds separating the two crews. The Dutch crew won gold, mirroring the result from last year's championship.

This rivalry between the GB and Dutch crews is set to continue, with two years remaining until the Los Angeles Olympics. Scott has one gold and two world championship silver medals, while this was Stratton's first senior success. "Today we were trying to channel just some aggression that we've been wanting to show in this regatta, and it's been quite hard through the rounds to get it," said Scott.

"I'm just really proud of that race today. Finals day is another level up, and I think we rose to the challenge again, and I'm really, really proud of that." The Dutch crew was aggressive from the start, but Great Britain held their ground due to favorable conditions and lane allocation. Both athletes expressed pride in their performance and looked forward to the upcoming world championships and Olympic qualification regatta in Lucerne.
