Ravens bludgeon Commanders 41-3 in preseason finale, but Tyler Loop misses 2 more field goals

Baltimore Ravens secured their preseason schedule with a resounding 41-3 victory over the Washington Commanders on Friday night. Quarterbacks Tyler Huntley and Joe Fagnano each connected with receivers for touchdowns in the first half, setting the tone for an overwhelming performance. Baltimore controlled the game from start to finish, finishing with a commanding 26-7 advantage in first downs and a staggering 456-177 margin in total yards.

Despite a shaky outing from kicker Tyler Loop, who missed two field goals from 51 and 58 yards, the Ravens held a firm grip on the contest. Loop managed a 51-yarder and a 24-yarder, but his misses compounded the rough patch for the Commanders. Huntley played only the first offensive series and completed all four of his passes, including a crucial 25-yard score to Chris Moore.

Kaytron Allen’s fumble early on provided Baltimore with an ideal field position, and Joe Fagnano capitalized with a one-yard touchdown run. The Ravens' dominance continued with LaJohntay Wester scoring a 10-yard touchdown reception, extending the lead to 24-0. As the half ended, Loop's wide miss from the 51-yard line gave the Commanders a chance for points, but it was too little, too late.

The Commanders (1-2) struggled to sustain drives, with Athan Kaliakmanis and Sam Hartman providing limited offensive contributions. Washington’s lone touchdowns came from Dontae McMillan's 63-yard run and a 20-yard strike from Austin Reed to Cornelius Johnson, but their efforts amounted to just 3 points in the fourth quarter. The Commanders, despite a valiant effort, will open their season against Philadelphia on September 13.
