Nigerian Army, Abia Police to deploy intelligence gathering in securing communities

The Nigerian Army's 14 Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Ahmad Mansur Dikko, and the newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Abia State, CP Wilfred Afolabi, convened at the brigade's headquarters in Ohafia. The meeting aimed to bolster security measures across Abia State, focusing on intelligence gathering and sharing among various security agencies.

Complementing the visit, CP Afolabi shared his vision and priorities for the State Police Command, emphasizing intelligence gathering, community safety outreach, and increased police visibility as crucial strategies to combat crime. He stressed the significance of effective collaboration among security agencies, such as the Police, Nigerian Army, and other stakeholders, to maintain peace and security throughout the state.

CP Afolabi also underscored the importance of community safety outreach, advocating for the Police to establish closer ties with the public. Brigadier General Dikko pledged his support for initiatives aimed at enhancing security and fostering peaceful coexistence in Abia State. He affirmed the brigade's continued cooperation, emphasizing that a unified approach among security agencies is essential to effectively tackle security challenges and safeguard lives and property.
