Nagano - A new beer glass from a big craft beer company aims to help people drink beer and water safely. The Wobbly Beer Glass cannot balance if only beer is consumed. Users must drink water alongside the beer. Yoho Brewing Co. created the glass to promote moderate drinking. Their previous solution was the Slow beer glass, which slows beer flow to encourage slower drinking.

The new glass, launched in December, has two sides: one for beer and another for water. Drinking both equally is essential to keep the glass stable. The company faced challenges initially, such as liquid leaking from one side when the other was empty, and the glass tipping over easily. Each side can hold up to 270 milliliters of liquid.

If too much beer is consumed, the glass becomes unsteady, encouraging the user to drink water. The glass is now available in 30 bars and establishments across Japan. One such place is Tada umai sake ga nomitakute, a bar in Nagano's Minamiishidocho district. The owner of the bar noted that while beer doesn't hydrate, it's common for patrons not to order water.

The unique design of the Wobbly Beer Glass encourages customers to drink water alongside their beer. Some customers became interested after seeing others use the glass. The company emphasized their goal of enabling people to enjoy beer for many years while maintaining good health.
