Liverpool's Iraola fumes at substitution delay before Forest penalty

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker expressed his displeasure over the delay in substitutions before Nottingham Forest was awarded a crucial penalty during their English Premier League match at Anfield. The Reds were trailing 2-1 to Forest after Gibbs-White converted a penalty to make it 2-2, prompting Iraola's frustration. The referee, Samuel Barrott, awarded the penalty after Williams was fouled by Alisson Becker while attempting a throw-in.

Iraola, who is still without a win as manager, questioned the reason behind the substitution delay, stating that the match would have stopped if he had been allowed to make the substitutions. Victor Munoz equalized for Liverpool with a 82nd-minute goal, resulting in a 2-2 draw. Iraola acknowledged his team's poor first-half performance, but emphasized that they improved in the second half, yet it was not enough to secure a win.
