JoySports Invitational 2026: John Dumelo promises free chicken, eggs and ginger to winners

John Dumelo, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture and Ayawaso West Wuogon MP, has pledged free chicken, eggs, and ginger as rewards for the winners of the 2026 JoySports Invitational Tournament. At the tournament's opening ceremony held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on August 29, Dumelo welcomed Corporate Ghana to his constituency, highlighting his dual role to incorporate agricultural incentives into the competition.

The promise of free chicken, eggs, and ginger for the winning team added a playful element to the event, which serves as a platform for companies, institutions, corporate executives, and sports enthusiasts to engage in competition, fitness, and networking. Speaking at the ceremony, Francis Fifi Koomson, Manager of Joy Brands at the Multimedia Group Limited, emphasized the importance of blending competitive spirit with teamwork and healthy rivalry.

Koomson also expressed gratitude to Dumelo for his presence as the special guest of honor, reflecting on the MP's past involvement with the Multimedia Group. The 2026 JoySports Invitational Tournament encompasses various sporting and recreational activities, including football, chess, table tennis, scrabble, draughts, ludo, and swimming, with a football final and a CEO Penalty Shootout among the scheduled events.
