Jets’ Chip Trayanum hospitalized with neck injury after early TD in 23-6 preseason loss to Giants

Chip Trayanum, an undrafted rookie running back from Toledo, was hospitalized with a neck injury during the New York Jets' 23-6 preseason loss to the Giants on Friday night. Trayanum, who had an impressive first half, ran for a touchdown earlier in the game when he was targeted by Giants quarterback Jameis Winston. After the play, Trayanum was tackled by Giants defensive end Trace Ford, leading to his injury.

The 24-year-old native of Akron, Ohio, was conscious and responsive in the hospital, with movement in all extremities. The Jets' offense, led by rookie quarterback Cade Klubnik, faced pressure from the Giants' defense, resulting in Trayanum's injury.
