JAMB gives candidates final chance to accept, reject old admissions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the final deadline for candidates to accept or reject admission offers from Monday, August 31, 2026, to Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, announced this extension in a statement. Candidates with pending admission offers for years 2021-2026 are strongly advised to take action before the new deadline.

Failure to do so will affect the status of their admissions and their dashboards will be reverted to "Not Admitted". Those who reject their offers will have their dashboards updated accordingly, allowing the board to maintain accurate records. Candidates no longer studying at the institution where their previous admission was offered or who are currently in a different programme may accept the outstanding admission and apply for the appropriate correction or deletion.

Candidates pursuing a second degree but still have an earlier admission offer pending can reject the previous offer without affecting their new admission. JAMB emphasized that there will be no further extension after September 30, and all outstanding admission offers that remain unaccepted or rejected by the deadline will automatically be cancelled.
