Iran, Oman setuju buka koridor sementara di Selat Hormuz

Iran and Oman have agreed to open a temporary corridor through the Strait of Hormuz to allow ships to pass, according to Iran's Supreme National Security Council Chairman Mohsen Rezaei. The Islamic Republic and Oman have agreed to manage the inbound and outbound process of vessels jointly in this corridor, with portions of it located in Iranian and Omani waters respectively.

Rezaei explained that the specifics of the corridor location are clear, and if the United States fulfills its obligations and acts accordingly, and Hormuz is reopened following its compliance, ships will use this new route in the middle of the Strait of Hormuz. Rezaei linked the reopening of the route fully with Iran's fulfillment of its obligations towards Washington, particularly in resolving conflicts in the Middle East, especially in Lebanon and Gaza.

He stated that Iran has provided a list of conditions to be presented to the US, and for now, allowing a partial opening of the corridor to enable ships to pass through the central part of the Strait is contingent upon the development of mutual understanding with Washington. He emphasized that the Hormuz issue cannot be separated from the broader regional conflict, and the US must demonstrate its seriousness in fulfilling its commitments before any new trust can be built, given the deep mistrust between the two parties.
