Inside Heli Daruwala’s elegant Surat home with a Vaastu-inspired Gujarati hinchko

Heli Daruwala, the talented actor and dancer, recently opened her stunning Surat home for a tour, showcasing a perfect blend of minimalist design and cultural heritage. The two-storey house, described as one of Surat's most beautiful family homes, features a spacious, brightly lit living area with contemporary decor and an elegant Vaastu-inspired wooden hinchko, or swing.

Adjacent to the entrance, a Lord Shiva idol adds an artistic touch to the welcoming ambiance. The seating area is adorned with three beige plush sofas in a U-shape, complemented by solid green throw pillows. A large rectangular wooden coffee table displays a vase of pink and white flowers, while numerous plants add greenery on the entertainment unit.

The highlight of the house, according to Heli, is the wooden hinchko situated under an open-to-sky ceiling, connecting the living and dining spaces. The dining area features a square white table with green upholstered chairs, arranged around a white tablecloth with green embroidery, and a vibrant floral centerpiece.

A modern kitchen with sleek, handleless taupe cabinets and a black glass range hood takes center stage on the second floor. The second floor also houses Heli's minimalist bedroom, featuring a white upholstered bed, a white nightstand, and light-coloured walls. The bedroom is complemented by a modern bathroom with striking teal walls, a sleek floating white vanity, and a glass-enclosed shower area. The house also boasts a terrace garden, complete with a swing and various plants and fruits.
