IndiGo to launch direct Gaya-Bangkok flight: Check timings, frequency and booking details

IndiGo is set to introduce a direct flight between Gaya and Bangkok, beginning October 26, 2026. This move will bolster air connectivity between Bihar and Thailand, following the airline's existing extensive network of more than 140 weekly flights linking India and Thailand. In addition to its Bangkok connections, IndiGo currently offers direct flights to major Indian cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bhubaneswar, as well as Thai destinations such as Phuket, Krabi, and Bangkok.

The introduction of the Gaya-Bangkok route will enhance travel options for visitors to Gaya, a significant cultural and spiritual destination in India, known for the Bodh Gaya pilgrimage site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The new service will directly connect Bodh Gaya to Bangkok, a city with deep Buddhist traditions. IndiGo's Gaya-Bangkok flights will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, with flight 6E 1083 departing Gaya at 1:15 pm and arriving in Bangkok at 5:50 pm, and flight 6E 1084 departing Bangkok at 10:15 am and arriving in Gaya at 12:15 pm. The non-stop journey between the two cities will take approximately 3 hours and 5 minutes.
