HEC Invites Applications for ECO International Mobile Photography Festival 2026

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has opened applications for the ECO International Mobile Photography Festival 2026, inviting Pakistanis to showcase the nation's cultural heritage through mobile photography. The competition, titled "Our Heritage," is organized by the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) and focuses on the theme "Passing on Heritage," which highlights traditions, skills, customs and cultural knowledge passed down from one generation to another.

Citizens of all 10 ECO member countries, including Pakistan, can participate. Each participant can submit up to three photographs taken with a mobile phone camera, with a minimum resolution of 2,000 pixels for the shortest side. The photographs must not contain watermarks, signatures or logos and must include an English title, a description, and details about the location and date of the photo.

The deadline to submit entries is September 12, 2026, with winners to be announced on September 24, 2026. The closing ceremony and exhibition will take place on October 4, followed by an online gallery opening on October 5.
