Government planning IT park for Belagavi, says Satish Jarkiholi

Minister Satish Jarkiholi announced plans for a new IT park in Belagavi, aiming to provide employment opportunities for local youth. At a meeting at the Belagavi Urban Development Authority (BUDA) office, Jarkiholi directed BUDA officials to create a detailed plan for the IT park, including land selection and necessary infrastructure.

The minister noted that many young people from Belagavi were migrating to other districts and states due to lack of local job opportunities. He emphasized the importance of generating jobs in information technology and allied sectors within the city through the IT park project. Additionally, Jarkiholi directed officials to prepare a comprehensive master plan for Belagavi, considering the city's rapid growth and future requirements.

The plan should focus on upgrading major traffic junctions, developing smart circles, and enhancing overall city aesthetics. Projects should prioritize reducing traffic congestion, ensuring public convenience, and improving the city's appearance. All development plans must take into account the city's future needs, with priority given to roads, junctions, parks, and other civic infrastructure.

Other officials present at the meeting included BUDA chairman Asif Sait, MLA Abhay Patil, Deputy Mayor Hanumant Kongali, and Commissioner Shakeel Ahmed.
