Google made a cozy mobile game called ‘Froggy’s World’ & the whimsy is back

Google has quietly launched a cozy mobile game named Froggy’s World, reminiscent of popular titles like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. Players access the game by searching "weather" on Google Search and tapping the new 'play' icon in the top-right corner of the Knowledge Panel card. Froggy’s World is exclusive to mobile devices and cannot be played on desktop. The objective of the game is to assist Google's famous Weather Frog in decorating their new home, a mushroom that has previously appeared on Nest Hub and other Smart Displays. Players help the Weather Frog by pulling weeds and gathering tokens for completing tasks, which depend on the current weather conditions such as day, night, rain, and snow.

These tokens can be exchanged for seeds and decorative items like lamp posts and statues to embellish the player's surroundings.

The game provides a timeline of events, displaying the current temperature and wind conditions in the top left corner, along with a token counter. By tapping on the settings gear, players can switch between Google Accounts (with progress saved between sessions), adjust the background music, and sound effects. They can also reset their progress by selecting "delete my data" at the bottom of the screen.

Froggy’s World is hosted on the website dailygames.discover.google.com, which was first observed in 2024. Players are encouraged to share their experiences in the comments section.
