Ghana Tourism Authority extends deadline for December in GH 2026 proposals

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has recently extended the deadline for event proposals for the 2026 edition of December in GH. The new deadline is set for Monday, 7th September 2026. This extension provides event organizers, promoters, cultural innovators, and experience creators with additional time to submit their concepts for consideration in Ghana's premier festive season.

The December in GH calendar of events is scheduled to run from 1st December 2026 to 3rd January 2027. This event calendar aims to showcase Ghana's diversity and dynamism, blending culture, creativity, entertainment, heritage, and unique experiences. The initiative, known as the Black Star Experience, continues to grow beyond a simple calendar of events into a nationwide cultural journey.

Ghana Tourism Authority officials invite visitors and Ghanaians alike to immerse themselves in the country's rich rhythms, stories, flavors, and expressions. Selected events will be integral parts of the official December in GH 2026 programme, integrated into the national campaign and amplified across the GTA's promotional platforms, both locally and internationally.

Interested organizers are urged to submit their proposals through the designated submission platform by Monday, 7th September 2026. December in GH is an annual initiative of the GTA, designed to position Ghana as a top destination for cultural, entertainment, and tourism experiences during the festive season. The initiative encompasses a wide range of events and activities taking place across the country, contributing to Ghana's broader tourism and cultural offerings.
