Forest to bid £40m for Everton teenager Armstrong

Nottingham Forest have made a £40m bid, with a potential sell-on clause, to sign 19-year-old Everton midfielder Harrison Armstrong. The young England under-19 star has played 23 times for Everton and started in their recent 2-0 Premier League win against Crystal Palace. Forest are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the transfer window's conclusion, while Everton manager David Moyes has expressed frustration over the transfer market this summer.

Moyes had previously stated his desire for more quality in the team, hoping that Everton's American owners, the Friedkin Group, would support further signings. With Iliman Ndiaye, Everton's primary creator, linked with a move to Manchester City, Forest are now prepared to pursue Armstrong.
