Catalysts shared their community-based experiences and practical approaches, including using puppets for teaching, which was demonstrated by Charles Macharia from Joska Spot in Kenya.
Emma Heglo, an EduKidz Catalyst from Wodome Spot, highlighted the importance of inclusion, stating that it's not just about fitting into societal systems, but about transforming people to have a common goal that's inclusive. The academy will inform the creation of animations, storybooks, observation trackers, and other teaching aids, which will be available on the EduSpots App. This follows a recent Digital Champions Academy, where 60 digital champions were trained on digital skills, EdTech development, and online safeguarding. EduSpots was also selected for the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship, aiming to advance community-led learning through the EduSpots App.
