Dayton schools to celebrate inaugural class of Athletic Hall of Fame

Dayton Public Schools will host its first-ever Athletic Hall of Fame banquet on Friday, October 30, to honor outstanding athletes, coaches, and contributors to the district's athletic programs. The event will take place at the Presidential Banquet Center in Kettering, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and the Legends Reception beginning at 6 p.m. The banquet aims to raise funds for the renovation of the Welcome Stadium field house.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available until October 9, with options ranging from $126 for individual admission to $2,500 for VIP All Star status. The inaugural class of the Dayton Public Schools Athletics Hall of Fame includes a diverse group of individuals who have made significant contributions to athletics within the district.

Notable inductees include former athletes, coaches, and administrators from various schools such as Belmont HS, Dunbar HS, Dunbar HS (Patterson Coop), Dunbar HS, Fairview HS, Meadowdale HS, Roosevelt HS, Roth HS, Wilbur Wright HS, and many others. The event promises to celebrate the rich history of athletics in Dayton Public Schools and honor the legends who have shaped the district's athletic legacy.
