Super-welterweight world title champion Chantelle Cameron secured a unanimous points victory over veteran Mikaela Mayer in a fierce bout at the Pulse Live Arena in Birmingham. The 35-year-old athlete overcame a bloody left eye sustained from an accidental head clash and earned unanimous scores of 97-93 (twice) and 96-94, reinforcing her position at the top of her sport.
This win marked Cameron's fifth consecutive victory since her sole career loss to Katie Taylor in 2023, and she added Mayer's WBC and WBA titles to her existing WBO belt. Cameron and Mayer emerged from the ring to shake hands, with Cameron inviting Mayer to a potential rematch. In the co-main event, WBC and WBO lightweight champion Caroline Dubois retained her titles with a decisive points victory over Amelia Moore, scoring 99-90 (twice) and 98-91.
Dubois's performance, however, sparked a heated exchange with her opponent Alycia Baumgardner, the WBA, WBO, and IBF champion at 130lb, who labeled Dubois's performance as "lackluster" and claimed she was "better than you."
