CDF Munir visits Pakistan Ordnance Factory, reviews production capabilities: ISPR

On Saturday, Pakistan's Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, journeyed to the Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF) in Wah to assess the facility's production capabilities, export potential, and contributions to the country's defense industrial base. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that CDF Munir received an in-depth briefing on various aspects of POF's operations and its role in enhancing national defense through the development and production of a wide array of military equipment.

CDF Munir had the opportunity to witness the tests and trials of locally designed and manufactured arms and ammunition, underscoring POF's dedication to innovation and self-reliance. The statement from ISPR also noted that CDF Munir was provided with an overview of the progress made in the corporatisation process following the enactment of the DIPRA Ordinance.

Additionally, the military leader was informed about the ongoing efforts to indigenize and upgrade the factory through the installation of two new industrial plants. These plants are expected to commence production by the end of the current year, as indicated by ISPR. The visit to POF reinforced the military's commitment to advancing self-reliance, indigenous production, and technological innovation within Pakistan's defense sector.
