Bhiwandi Cyber Fraud: 57-Year-Old Man Duped Of ₹3.36 Lakh In Online Bank Scam; Shantinagar Police Launch Probe

An 18-year-old resident of Koparkhairane, Sujankumar Feku Mahato, was discovered murdered near Vashi Mini Seashore in early hours of Saturday, according to police. The Navi Mumbai Police have registered a murder case and are actively investigating to identify and apprehend the unidentified assailant.

Mahato, who held occasional jobs at a Chinese food stall and drove his father's auto-rickshaw, left his home without informing his family on Friday night. The auto-rickshaw he used is missing. At approximately 4 a.m. on Saturday, a woman on a morning walk noticed Mahato's body lying in the footpath and alerted another passerby, who then contacted the police.

Mahato's mother, Rubidevi Feku Mahato, filed a complaint at the Vashi Police Station on Saturday afternoon. She stated that an unidentified person attacked her son with a sharp weapon, causing multiple injuries to his head, hands, and other parts of his body. Police believe that a deep wound to his head might have been the cause of death.

The murder weapon has not been recovered, and investigators are examining Mahato's movements following his departure from home, the circumstances surrounding his death, and the disappearance of the auto-rickshaw. Senior Police Inspector Shashikant Chandekar is leading the investigation, supported by other senior police officers and a forensic team. The case is being probed under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
