Barau Seeks APC Unity in Kano, Backs Tinubu, Abba for 2027

Senator Jibrin Barau has called for unity among members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano North, urging them to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf ahead of the 2027 general elections. Barau, the Deputy Senate President, emphasized that political differences should not hinder the progress of the senatorial district.

Two delegations from Dambatta Local Government Area visited Barau to express their support and gratitude for his development initiatives. The first delegation, led by Hafiz Sani Maidaji, a former three-term member and primary aspirant, withdrew a court challenge against the APC primary election outcome and reaffirmed their commitment to party unity.

Barau commended Maidaji's maturity and described the decision as a testament to the unity required to strengthen the APC. The second delegation, led by Barau's Senior Legislative Aide, Alhaji Abdullahi Dan Bayero, thanked Barau for various projects and empowerment programs being implemented across Kano North. Barau assured the people of Dambatta and the entire senatorial district that he would continue his development efforts, focusing on empowerment, education, agriculture, and infrastructure.

He highlighted the provision of monthly start-up capital to 1,300 petty traders and beneficiaries in various sectors, as well as the distribution of agricultural tools and household items. Barau stressed that political stability and unity among the people were crucial for the sustainability of these development programs. He urged the people of Kano North to maintain unity, support the APC candidates in the 2027 elections, and work together towards a more prosperous Kano North and a stronger Nigeria.
