Banjir Nepal: Taklimat bersama keluarga mangsa diadakan esok

Prime Minister Mohamad Hasan announced that a meeting and briefing will be held tomorrow with Malaysian families affected by the recent deadly flash floods and landslides in Rasuwa, Nepal. During the meeting, which will involve the Prime Minister's Office, the National Security Council (MKN) and related agencies, further information will be provided on efforts to locate those categorized as missing.

Many initially classified as missing have since been contacted, but their respective countries remain unclear. China confirmed that some individuals were located despite the challenge of unclear nationality.

The Prime Minister's Office will assist in arranging travel for the affected Malaysian families to Nepal if necessary, although access to the disaster site is difficult due to issues such as damaged bridges. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Prime Minister's Office operates a 24-hour monitoring operation to track the situation of Malaysians affected by the disaster, and the Prime Minister's Office is closely coordinating with the Malaysian Foreign Ministry and relevant agencies to gather further developments.

The Malaysian Embassy in Kathmandu has also received additional staff to help manage the needs of the Malaysian public and their families who are still missing.
