Arunachal CM unveils roadmap for youth-driven growth

On Saturday, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu unveiled a roadmap aimed at transforming the state's youth into skilled, entrepreneurial, and globally competitive individuals by 2036. Khandu outlined the Arunachal Human Capital & Economic Transformation Vision 2036 and the Arun MSME Mission in a video posted on X. The vision aims to train 1 lakh youths, create 10,000 entrepreneurs and apprentices, facilitate 10,000 overseas placements, establish 100 industry partnerships, and modernize all 10 ITIs into skill hubs and centers of excellence.

Khandu emphasized the growing entrepreneurial aspirations of young people, stating that today's youth is not only looking for a job but also for employment. Through the Arun MSME Mission, 500 MSMEs would be supported annually through revival, capacity enhancement, market linkages, and export assistance. The chief minister described the vision as a pathway towards building a future-ready workforce, globally competitive entrepreneurs, and an innovation-driven economy.

Khandu highlighted that transforming all ITIs into modern skill hubs and establishing industry partnerships would provide a stronger foundation for skill development and align training with emerging employment opportunities. He concluded by stating that the youth who acquire skills today will contribute to Arunachal's growth tomorrow.
