The University College of Commerce & Business Management, affiliated with Osmania University, co-hosted a seminar with the Indian Accounting Association (IAA) in Hyderabad to explore the influence of Artificial Intelligence on accounting education. IAA Hyderabad Chapter Chairman D. Obul Reddy emphasized during his remarks that contemporary accounting calls for more than just foundational understanding. He stressed the importance of graduating students who possess technological prowess, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong professional demeanor.

IAA Rajkot General Secretary Sanjay Bhayani, who addressed the seminar virtually, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the need to impart digital fluency and analytical expertise alongside a pledge to responsibly utilize Artificial Intelligence. Bhayani underscored the value of merging core accounting principles with technological competence to produce versatile, proficient, and job-ready professionals.

The University College of Commerce & Business Management's Vice-Chancellor, Kumar Molugaram, also underscored the necessity to update curriculum structures, teaching methodologies, and assessment benchmarks to equip graduates for a tech-driven professional landscape. The college principal, Indrakanti Sekhar, and the registrar, G. Naresh Reddy, among others, attended the seminar.
