Three days have passed since Jamiliah Tengku Ismail has received any news about her missing husband, Muhamad Nasir Abdul Talib, who was swept away by the floods in Nepal. The 68-year-old woman continues to hold onto hope, believing in the power of the Nepal-Tibet Solidarity: Families in Hope (Masfih) group, which includes experienced bomb squad and rescue unit officer Mohd Fakhrul Munir.

Jamiliah's last communication with her husband was during a joyful dinner before they set off on their journey, around 10 minutes before the group headed towards the Yala Cafe. At the cafe, they exchanged photos before continuing their journey, believed to have taken place between 6 and 7 am Nepal time. For Joanne, 59, the waiting is accompanied by the worry of explaining her brother's disappearance, Jason, 56, to her elderly parents who are 80 and 90 years old, respectively.

She is struggling to tell them the news of her brother's loss. Meanwhile, Dviya, 29, is anxiously waiting for her father, V Krishnan, 74, who vanished along with the group. The day before their departure, Krishnan had a brief conversation with his family, expressing his excitement for the 14-day journey that they planned to take to Europe after his return from Nepal.

Dviya admits that her father's adventurous spirit made it difficult for the family to imagine the disaster that unfolded. Although she tries not to speculate, she refuses to imagine a worse outcome. "I don't want to say anything," she says, hopeful that God will work wonders.
