WTK net profit triples to RM60.5 mln in 2QFY26

In the second quarter of financial year 2026, Sarawak-based diversified group WTK Holdings Bhd (WTK) reported a net profit that more than tripled to RM60.5 million, up from RM17.4 million a year earlier. This significant increase was attributed to contributions from newly acquired plantation subsidiaries and higher crude palm oil (CPO) prices.

The group's statement highlighted that the expansion of its plantation portfolio and better CPO prices played a major role in the strong performance. For the quarter, revenue rose 41.3% year-on-year to RM195.2 million, setting a new record high for WTK. Earnings per share reached 12.94 sen, up from 3.73 sen previously. The plantation division, the group's largest contributor, reported RM143.3 million in revenue, up 82.1% from RM78.7 million a year ago.

Its profit before tax soared to RM64.5 million, a 162.6% increase year-on-year, excluding a one-off bargain purchase gain of RM43.2 million. The food segment saw a 22% increase in turnover to RM39.4 million, while the tapes segment recorded a 9.8% rise in revenue to RM11.9 million. For the half-year period, group revenue increased 10.8% to RM326.4 million, while net profit stood at RM67.8 million, marking an improvement from a net loss of RM4 million in the same period last year.

WTK currently operates in approximately 32,000 hectares of planted area, with its cash and bank balances at RM313.8 million and net operating cash flow of RM133.1 million.
