WATCH: IDF kills Hamas commander in Gaza who infiltrated Israel on October 7

On Thursday, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) killed a Hamas commander named Nabil Ibrahim Bass in the Al-Shati area of Gaza. Bass had participated in the October 7 massacre. The IDF stated that Bass infiltrated Israel on that fateful day as part of the Hamas terror attack. In a separate strike on Thursday, the IDF killed another Hamas commander, Hamdi Ahmad Hamid Kahlil, in the Sabra area of Gaza.

Kahlil served as the observation platoon commander for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). The IDF explained that these strikes were part of Israel's efforts to prevent the re-establishment of terror organizations like Hamas and PIJ, as their rebuilding efforts violate the ceasefire agreement. The military noted that both Bass and Kahlil had actively participated in planning terror attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians throughout the ongoing war.

This followed an attack on Wednesday, in which the IDF killed another Hamas commander, Ismail Mohammad Ibrahim Barim. Barim was responsible for holding Israeli hostages during a tunnel incident in southern Gaza. On Sunday, the IDF killed two more Hamas terrorists, Razek Sahil Suleiman Abu Shahma and Hazem Mousa, both of whom had infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre. Abu Shahma had previously served as the bodyguard for former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
