Volleyball: CCS Eagles hope to continue their success

The Community Christian School (CCS) Eagles have been on an impressive run in recent seasons, with the volleyball team aiming to maintain their success in the upcoming 2026 season. Last year, the Eagles finished as runners-up in the Minnesota Christian Athletic Conference (MCAC) Tier I tournament, narrowly losing to host First Baptist School of Rosemount. Their 2024 season was particularly noteworthy, as the team achieved a perfect 21-0 record and claimed the MCAC end-of-season tournament title.

This year's team is comprised of 20 players, with two seniors returning from last year's squad - Faith Westin and Lola Nelson. They will be supported by juniors Addison Kveene, Sophie Buetow, Olivia Erickson, and Vienna Norling, as well as sophomores Jaelynn Johnson and freshmen Ella Kannas and Claire Fries. The head coach for the 2026 season is Rebecca Westin.

The CCS Eagles will be competing in the West Division, alongside Faith Christian School Saints from Foreston, King's Academy Lions from St. Cloud (formerly known as St. Cloud Christian School), and Lake Region Christian Hornets from Baxter. The South Division features teams such as First Baptist Crusaders, Fourth Baptist Warriors, Immanuel Lutheran Trojans, Prior Lake Christian Royals, and Rochester Home School Defenders.

The MCAC Central includes schools like Cambridge Christian Warriors, Chisago Lakes Christian Patriots, St. Francis Christian Patriots, Valley Christian Jaguars of Osceola, Wisconsin, and Woodcrest Baptist Academy Warriors of Fridley. Other MCAC teams are also listed, including Alexandria Community Christian School, Genesis Classic Academy Griffins, Heritage Patriots, Liberty Christian Golden Eagles, Lighthouse Christian Academy Eagles, and Owatonna Christian Sabres.
