Vinay Kulkarni returns to Dharwad after five years

Dharwad MLA Vinay Kulkarni, barred from entering the district in 2021 due to a murder case, made a rare return to the city after five years. Currently on conditional bail, he was granted permission to enter Dharwad. However, restrictions remain - he cannot partake in public functions or processions. Upon his return, Kulkarni was met by family and followers in a subdued celebration.

His visit included stops at local temples and the Murugha Mutt, where he sought blessings from the resident seer. Kulkarni had contested the 2023 elections and won without conducting any campaign within the district, as his family - his wife and daughters - campaigned on his behalf.
