Unpaid fees: Ghanaian scholarship graduates at University of Memphis denied certificates [Audio]

Ghanaian students who have graduated from the University of Memphis in the United States are facing difficulties in obtaining their certificates and academic records, due to outstanding fees owed by the government. One anonymous graduate revealed to Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem morning show that the university has withheld these documents until the full payment of tuition and accommodation fees is made.

The affected graduates, who are beneficiaries of Ghana's government scholarship programme, claim that the situation has hindered them from completing the necessary procedures after their studies. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue with the Scholarship Secretariat and other authorities, no lasting solution has been found.

This predicament has left both recently graduated and ongoing students uncertain about their academic records. The graduates fear that if the unpaid payments are not settled, the university could take further legal action against them. They are urging the government, the Scholarship Secretariat, and other relevant authorities to intervene urgently and facilitate the release of their certificates and academic records.
