The OG Creator of Task Manager on Windows Built a New Task Manager

The OG creator of Windows Task Manager has developed a new task management utility called TMOG, which works seamlessly across macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems. TMOG stands out from other system monitors by offering a comprehensive, focused approach, providing users with a balance between an approachable interface and powerful capabilities.

The app begins with a detailed summary of system metrics, including CPU, clock speed, thermals, GPU, memory, storage, network, energy consumption, and the processes responsible for the load. Users can delve deeper into each core aspect without leaving the application, inspecting logical cores, combining or separating disks and interfaces, following a process tree, controlling services, and even browsing the Mac's System Report as a native expandable hierarchy.

The default logical-processor mode presents the workload's structure, not just its average performance, with performance and efficiency cores color-coded for easy identification. Users can choose to display kernel time, and the overview keeps track of frequency, topology, cache, uptime, processes, and threads. TMOG separates occupied resources from expensive ones, making trends visible at a glance.

The utility maintains a consistent visual language across all surfaces, featuring fast VFD meters, dense history graphs, native actions, and details that remain hidden until necessary. Users can customize TMOG's appearance by selecting light or dark mode, or opting for a classic green, amber, blue, or monochrome theme, with color and saturation settings at their discretion.

As a beta build, users should expect to manually approve the app upon its first launch due to the lack of digital signing.
