#SHOWBIZ: Alicia Amin gains muscle in 25 days for 'Chelot'

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Alicia Amin underwent a dramatic physical transformation in just 25 days to play the sniper character Zara in the film Chelot. The 31-year-old model and actress explained that Zara needed to appear lean, mean and menacing. To achieve this physique, Alicia worked closely with a personal trainer and consumed 170 grammes of protein at every meal.

She focused on incorporating protein-rich foods like fish, chicken, or meat into her diet. Director Adrian Teh instructed Alicia to look tough and mean. Alicia, whose real name is Raja Alicia Raja Amin, expressed her appreciation for the director's support, as his production company allocated a sufficient budget for the actors' preparations and safety needs.

Despite her cautious nature due to her age and the risks involved in filming action scenes, Alicia would consider the role if the budget ensured her safety and if the script was compelling. Alicia does not limit herself to a specific genre; she is drawn to a good script regardless of whether it's an action movie, drama, or romantic comedy.

The action-packed adventure film Chelot also features Shukri Yahaya, Beto Kusyairy, Shaheizy Sam, Azhan Rani, and Nadhir Nasar. The movie premiered in cinemas yesterday.
