Sereias da Vila host Projeto Donas da Bola at Paulistão F match

On Wednesday, Santos FC brought the Donas da Bola Project to their Paulistão F match in Santana de Parnaíba. The initiative, run by the EPROCAD Foundation alongside FIFA Foundation, aims to increase girls and women's access to and participation in football while fostering their holistic growth and empowering them through sport.

During the match, 70 spectators, including 21 young girls, had the opportunity to don the role of mascots. The project, which operates in Barueri, Pirapora do Bom Jesus, and Santana de Parnaíba, provides free activities in secure settings. Using the 3 Times Methodology and educational programs, it helps young people develop essential life skills such as independence, leadership, teamwork, confidence, respect, and self-awareness of their rights.

Carla Moreno, an educator with the project, expressed her enthusiasm about the experience. "The opportunity to step onto the field and engage with the Sereias da Vila players firsthand was truly unforgettable. This encounter will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on each child, offering inspiration and demonstrating that they too can achieve great things."

The Donas da Bola Project aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 10 (Reduced Inequality), and 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). By promoting gender equality and empowering girls and women in their communities and society, the project directly supports targets such as adopting policies for gender equality and eliminating all forms of discrimination against women and girls.
