Radiant World and Its Founder Sued in Singapore for $34 Million

Radiant World, an iron ore trading company, and its founder Pinkesh Nahar are facing a US$34 million lawsuit in Singapore's High Court, according to court documents filed on August 24. Incomlend, an invoice financing platform, is seeking the substantial amount from the company and its founder, as stated in the legal filing. Amit Sharma, managing director of Tanas Capital, a private investment firm, is also named as a defendant in the case.

Nahar holds a director position in Tanas Capital, as per corporate records. The lawsuit, classified under "tort of deceit conspiracy by unlawful means," alleges that Radiant World made false representations, and the victim seeks to recover losses. Neither the company nor the two defendants have appointed legal representation yet, with a subsequent hearing set for September 29.

This legal action is in addition to another lawsuit initiated by Mizuho Bank, a subsidiary of Japanese lender Mizuho Financial Group, seeking an injunction against Radiant World. The US Department of Justice and the Singapore police are currently conducting investigations into the company, as reported by Bloomberg. Incomlend's legal representatives and Radiant World's spokesperson have not yet commented on the matter.

The company has previously denied any wrongdoing and stated that it operates with the highest commercial and legal standards. Corporate documents reveal that Incomlend is listed as a creditor of Radiant World.
