Pasang bendera terbalik, kakitangan MCA Perak letak jawatan

Today, staff at the MCA Perak headquarters placed the Sapphire Ring and state flag upside down, taking full responsibility and viewing the incident seriously, according to MCA Perak President Dr Mah Hang Soon. The incident occurred in the morning when the responsible staff were assigned to raise and adjust the Sapphire Ring and Perak flags for the National Day celebrations.

Mah emphasized that the mistake was unintentional and not meant to defame either flag. Once aware of the error, both flags were immediately lowered and properly hoisted again, he added. Meanwhile, police officers from Ipoh Police Station visited the MCA Perak headquarters around 1 pm to conduct an investigation and record statements from the affected staff and administrative personnel.

Mah stated that his party would continue to provide full cooperation to the police. MCA Perak also expressed regret to Sultan Perak and apologized to all Malaysian citizens for the incident. Mah acknowledged that the issues concerning the affected staff would be handled appropriately while acknowledging their contributions and service tenure to the party.
