OGRA Announces Huge Decrease in LNG Prices

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has slashed liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices by up to 27.71 percent for two major gas distribution systems in Pakistan. OGRA announced the reduction on August 28, 2026, following a review of LNG prices. For Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, the new LNG price is $19.03 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), a decrease of $6.81 from the previous rate of $25.84 per MMBtu.

This represents a 26.36 percent reduction. Sui Southern Gas Company's LNG price has been lowered to $18.13 per MMBtu, down from $25.08 per MMBtu, marking a 27.71 percent decrease. The new rates will replace the earlier prices set at $25.84 per MMBtu for Sui Northern and $25.08 per MMBtu for Sui Southern.
