Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang to AI bubble critics: ‘You are missing the point’

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has defended the company's growing role in financing the AI boom, dismissing claims that its investments inflate demand. Speaking on CNBC's Mad Money after Nvidia posted strong results, Huang argued that AI startups require significantly more capital to become profitable compared to previous generations of startups.

He highlighted that Nvidia has invested in various AI companies, including OpenAI and Anthropic, as well as neocloud providers that utilize Nvidia-powered computing. Huang emphasized that these investments aim to support frontier AI labs, which need a different kind of partner to succeed. He also addressed concerns about the sustainability of the AI trade, explaining that Nvidia's computing infrastructure isn't tied to a single customer, limiting exposure to any one investment and expressing confidence in generating strong returns.
