Mecca Agreement gives Turkey new leverage and risk in equal measure

The Mecca Agreement, signed between Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, has granted Turkey a new form of leverage and simultaneously introduced new risks. This collective defense commitment has drawn comparisons to NATO, but the three nations still face significant political, operational, and technological challenges.
