Mayoral candidate Vogiatzakis promises new express-lane permitting process

Mike Vogiatzakis, a mayoral candidate, has pledged to revolutionize the city's permit process if elected. He announced a "one-day green lane" model, where small-scale applications would be approved within 24 hours, with longer permits facing a written timeline. Vogiatzakis also promised a dedicated permit hub, pre-approved building plans, and eye-level pedestrian crossing lights.

However, his opponent, Don Woodstock, criticized Vogiatzakis for not doing his homework, highlighting recent improvements in the permitting process. Woodstock, on the other hand, focused on infrastructure, promising to rebuild the closed Happyland Pool and build a bigger one in the future.
