Mayer and Cameron butt heads at final face-off

Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron engaged in a heated exchange during their final face-off ahead of Saturday's light-middleweight unification bout in Birmingham. The two had previously maintained a cordial relationship, but tensions flared at the weigh-in on Friday. As they faced each other at the BP Pulse Arena, Cameron pushed her head into Mayer's, prompting the American to push back.

The verbal sparring continued as they ended up side-by-side, with Cameron saying, "She isn't intimidating me," after security intervened. Mayer, 36, countered, claiming Cameron had said she would be "too slow," to which Cameron responded, "You're deluded. Shut your mouth." Both fighters weighed in 6lbs under the light-middleweight limit, at 67kg.
