KP to Establish Citizen Facilitation Centers in All Districts

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister Shafi Jan has ordered the creation of Citizen Facilitation Centres across every district to deliver multiple government services in a single location. This directive was communicated during a high-level meeting chaired by Jan at the Secretary Science and Information Technology Abdul Basit's office on Thursday. Notable attendees included Director General Science and Technology Sajid Ali Shah, Managing Director of Information Technology Board Dr Aqif Khan, and other senior officials.

The minister received updates on the department's performance, current projects, and future plans centered around science, technology, innovation, e-governance, digitalization, research and development. Additional initiatives are being undertaken to foster industrial growth, promote IT education and training, and support local IT enterprises. Plans are already in motion to establish IT parks and promote software exports. Six Model IT Labs have already been inaugurated in schools within the merged districts.
