Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa graduates with PhD in Public Administration

Nairobi, Kenya - Kimilili Member of Parliament, Didmus Barasa, has recently earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Administration from Murang'a University of Technology. His doctoral research delved into the branding strategies employed by county governments and how these strategies impact service delivery satisfaction among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with Bungoma County serving as the primary case study.

The second-term lawmaker announced his graduation on Facebook, crediting his faith for this accomplishment. "Mungu ni mwaminifu kwa kila mtu anayemtumainia," Barasa expressed his gratitude, emphasizing the role of faith in his journey.

Barasa had previously disclosed in June that he had successfully completed his doctoral studies. He holds two undergraduate degrees and two master’s degrees, making him a highly educated MP in Bungoma County. This latest academic achievement precedes his ambitious political aspirations. As Barasa prepares for the 2027 General Election, he is vying for the position of Bungoma County Governor on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.

He has been actively engaging with the local community through grassroots meetings and rallies across the county. Known for his significant influence in Bungoma, Barasa, who is guided by his faith, views his political career as a calling.
