Kalonzo Gives NPS, TSC and KDF Seven-Day Ultimatum Over Recruitment

Former Vice President and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has issued a seven-day ultimatum to the National Police Service Commission (NPSC), Teachers Service Commission (TSC), and Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to explain their recruitment processes over the past five years. Kalonzo demanded information on who has been recruited, the number of people hired, the criteria used, and the regions from which applicants were drawn.

He accused some Members of Parliament of issuing TSC recruitment letters and stated that Kenyans deserve transparency in public recruitment. Kalonzo claimed that allegations of political influence in recruitment processes must be investigated to ensure fairness and merit-based appointments. He emphasized that Article 232 of the Constitution guarantees high standards of professional ethics, efficient use of resources, and fair competition in public service.

Kalonzo instructed his MPs and lawyers to formally request detailed recruitment information from the three institutions within 48 hours, threatening legal action if they fail to comply.
