Julianna Barwick and Mary Lattimore Share Songs From New Film Score

Julianna Barwick and Mary Lattimore have announced a collaborative album for Threshold, a documentary about Olympic cross-country skier Jessie Diggins. The film, directed by the American filmmakers Lars and Torsten Brinkema, will be released on November 20. The trio of songs from the project are titled "Cold Open," "Sick and Tired," and "Gallivare 10km."

These tracks were shared ahead of the album's release. Barwick and Lattimore first collaborated as a duo in January, releasing "Tragic Magic" and accompanying it with a joint tour. Lattimore shared in a press release that while they had certain constraints with "Tragic Magic," they had full sonic freedom with "Threshold." The duo found this project to be both challenging and satisfying, describing it as a year of making music as a duo, representing two sides of the same coin.
