Indore Development Authority Board Set To Approve Aerocity And Two Flyovers Under Scheme 172

The Indore Development Authority (IDA) is poised to approve plans for an Aerocity project and two new flyovers under the Scheme 172 initiative. The Aerocity is envisioned on approximately 25 acres of land adjacent to Indore Airport, acquired by IDA from the state government. In return, the state had granted IDA additional land that had been previously allocated to TCS and Infosys on the Super Corridor.

The proposed Aerocity will feature large plots for hotels, commercial establishments, IT activities, and other business facilities. A significant aspect of the project is a planned convention center, to be developed through a public-private partnership (PPP) model. Additional residential and commercial plots will also be developed under the same Scheme 172.

This location is strategically significant due to its proximity to the Indore-Pithampur Industrial Corridor, a development under MPIDC, which will facilitate commercial activities. The IDA's board meeting, potentially scheduled for next week on a Tuesday, is anticipated to not only approve the Aerocity project and associated plot tenders but also grant administrative clearance for the construction of two flyovers at key city intersections. Once administrative approval is obtained, IDA will commence the tendering process for the flyovers.
