Hadi stands by DAP remarks, says he’ll answer in court

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang defended his recent remarks against the DAP, stating he will answer them in court. The police summoned Hadi to provide a statement following reports over his remarks, describing it as a routine process. Hadi maintained that his comments were based on the DAP's constitution and history, asserting that they could not deny this.

Any other assertions would be addressed in court, according to a report by Berita Harian. Earlier, Hadi's aide had disclosed that the Marang MP had given a statement to Bukit Aman after multiple police reports were filed against him regarding his remarks, which allegedly offended the DAP. Hadi had accused the DAP of attempting to steer the constitution towards secular rule and glorifying the Communist Party of Malaya's struggle.

He also claimed that the DAP was aiding the coalition's efforts to revive local council elections and implement a "Malaysian Malaysia" vision, among other things. Hadi defended his remarks by citing Islamic scripture, the Federal Constitution, and past statements from DAP leaders.
