GTA VI Extended Look releases on Netflix, Youtube: Here are 5 features that stood out

After a 13-year wait, Grand Theft Auto VI fans finally received an extended look at the highly anticipated game on August 27, 2025. Rockstar Games unveiled 26 minutes of gameplay through an exclusive livestream on Netflix, later uploading it to YouTube. The footage, captured on PlayStation 5, showcased two new characters, Jason and Lucia, set in Vice City, modeled after Miami, Florida.

They engage in various criminal activities, with the player controlling and switching between the characters seamlessly. The relationship between the characters can evolve over time, and players can customize their appearances. Driving in GTA VI includes a GPS-style minimap, car chases, and alternative transportation such as fanboats, kayaks, and jet skis.

The trailer also features a wide range of activities, including parachuting, clubbing, swimming with dolphins, and working out. NPCs in the game are more interactive, with a focus on avoiding collisions with pedestrians in car chases. The trailer revealed an honor point system for petting dogs and suggested that social media users compared the game's controls to those of Red Dead Redemption 2.
